Windsor House joins the Gulf Islands

Windsor House has a new School District! When the North Vancouver School District closed Windsor House, SANE approached the Gulf Islands School District to see if they would adopt the school. Not only would they, they were delighted to…

The enthusiastic support of the Superintendent, the Trustees and the various support staff and administrators has made the transfer a very exciting one. The energy in the school is delightful—there are so many interesting projects going on—and the children are engaged and happy.

The school is in the same building as before (the Gulf Islands are leasing it for a year), but it hopes to move to East Vancouver by next September. For this year, however, the Gulf Islands School Board has supplied a free bus from East Vancouver to the school, which is most helpful to the many families from that area.
